Three Types of Relationships We All Need

We Should Always Have These 3 Types of People In Our Lives

I know I didn’t come up with this, but I heard it somewhere at some point in my life! But the idea was that every Christian should have 3 types of people in their life.

One is above them. This person would be like a spiritual mentor, someone who is discipline them.

One type of person is even with them. This would be other strong Christian friends who the support and encouragement and level of spirituality are about the same.

The last type of person is the one’s are in a sense below us. This means that either they have no relationship with God or that they are new and immature Christians.

Assurance in the Love of God

cross

Romans 5:8

“But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.” AMP

I want to answer these three questions in this post.

Does God love you?

What is the cause behind His love? Or What is the basis of His love?

Will God always love you no matter what you do?

Let’s start from the ground up. Does God love people?

Now we are getting into the very character and heart of God. Who is God? Is He really a God of love?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Why Martin Luther is Important to the Church Today

luther

Today is the 499 year anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 theses against the walls of the Roman Catholic church in Wittenberg, Germany. On October 31, 1517 a revolution began to take place. A God ordained revival started, that in my opinion was the biggest and most important revival in church history! For in this great move of God in the protestant reformation, the most important and foundational truth was restored to God’s people, that is justification by faith. Martin Luther said of justification by faith:

“This one and firm rock, which we call the doctrine of justification, is the chief article of the whole Christian doctrine, which comprehends the understanding of all godliness. If this article stands, the church stands, if it falls, the church falls.”

This flows right into my first reason that Martin Luther is so important to the church today.

The Most Emasculating Thing the Apostle Paul Ever Wrote, and Why

Paul

Go mutilate yourself!

Galatians 5:12 NASB
I wish that those who are troubling you would even mutilate themselves.

Do you remember Lorena Bobbit? Yea, the one who cut off her husband’s penis and threw it out of a moving car. As a teenager we had plenty of jokes with Lorena Bobbit involved.

For a man, we are talking about some pretty sensitive issues here!

This is probably the worst possible thing a man could ever think of happening to them. And yet this is the exact language that the apostle Paul is using. He saves this severe language for those false teachers who preach a false gospel.

Our Righteousness, All of Christ or None of Christ

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. Galatians5:1-4

We are free in Christ! What are we free from? We are free from the wrath and anger of God for our sins. For Christ has set us free. We are free from the bondage to live in sin with no way of stopping, for Christ has set us free. We are free from the accusations and lies of the devil, for Christ has set us free. We are free from living a life only doing what our sinful flesh desires, for Christ has set us free!

About Me
About Me
God has given me a powerful testimony of going from darkness and serving satan, to light and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. The short version is that I was a drug abusing, drug dealing party animal all of my teenage years. I was saved in prison and God has done miracle after miracle in order to receive glory from my life! I am truly blessed to be alive serving Jesus, when I easily could be dead or still in prison. I have been serving the Lord in ministry since 2005. I have had many different roles, doing various things. I have been[...]

I recently ministered the word of God at Grace Fellowship Church in Shillington, Pa. Listen as I speak about Eight Great Gospel Themes.
